Long Island Woman Charged with Aggravated DWI

A Long Island woman faces a charge of aggravated DWI for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a 14-year-old boy in her car, Nassau County police said.

An officer stopped Alondra Reyes-Gonzalez, 32, of Hempstead, at about 4:40 a.m. Sunday in Uniondale after noting that her car was moving along without the headlamps on, police said. The officer then determined that Reyes-Gonzalez had been operating her car under the influence of alcohol, police said.

She was charged with aggravated DWI because one of her passengers was a minor. The boy, 14, and a 22-year-old passenger were released to the boy's father, police said.

Reyes-Gonzalez was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

She is scheduled for an arraignment Monday. No information was available as to whether she had a lawyer.
