A Long Island Rail Road worker was electrocuted after coming into contact with the third rail near the Queens Village station Monday morning, MTA officials said.

A co-worker who tried to help the victim was taken to the Long Island Jewish Hospital as a precaution.

Service was temporarily suspended between Jamaica and Mineola but was restored shortly before noon.

The fatal accident is under investigation.

The victim's identity has not been released.
