One New Jersey town got a burst of flavor last night when a hot dog cart exploded in Tuckerton Friday night.

Three fire engines, a rescue truck and an ambulance were dispatched to a possible motor vehicle accident or a hot dog trailer explosion near North Green Street and Second Avenue at around 4:45 a.m. Saturday, officials from the Tuckerton Fire Department said.

Fire officials found a large field with debris near Railroad Avenue, authorities said. Some homes were damaged as a result of the explosion. 

There was no fire or injuries, but firefighters checked homes for damages and potential injuries for several blocks.

The explosion was allegedly be heard for miles. 

The cause of the explosion is being investigated by the Ocean County Fire Marshall's Office and Ocean County Prosecutors Office.
