Freeze Warning Issued for Parts of NJ and the Hudson Valley

Forecasters say temperatures could range from the mid 20s in these areas

Temperatures could take a nosedive across the area, especially in parts of New Jersey and the Hudson Valley.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Passaic, and parts of Bergen, Essex and Warren counties in New Jersey early Saturday. Freeze warnings have also been issued for counties north of Interstate 287 in the Hudson Valley.

Forecasters say temperatures could range from the mid 20s in these areas, to the upper 20s and lower 30s elsewhere.

The lower temperatures will end the growing season in those areas, where freezes are typical for this time of the year.

In New York City, a.m. temperatures may dip down into the upper 30s Saturday.
