There was no sign of forced entry and no weapon found, police say

Young Couple Found Mysteriously Shot Dead

Police are investigating after a young couple was found dead with gunshot wounds in their Queens apartment Thursday evening.

Police say Natalie Mejia-Tavares, 21, and Luis Oscar Padilla Lopez, 21, were both shot dead in the home on Summerfield Street in Ridgewood, where they had recently moved in together.

There was no sign of forced entry and no weapon found.

Mejia-Tavares was shot in the body, police say, and Lopez was shot in the head.

No arrests have been made.
