Toy Poodle Thrown From Car on Long Island Highway

Authorities are looking for a woman who allegedly threw a white toy poodle-like dog from her car on a Long Island highway last month.

A witness told authorities he saw the woman throw the pup from her car in front of the Exxon Gas Station on Montauk Highway in Mastic in the early afternoon of June 23, according to Suffolk County SPCA Chief Roy Gross.

It wasn't immediately clear if the car was moving when the animal was thrown.

The witness said she was driving a white, small four-door sedan; she had four young children in the back seat and an older child in the front passenger seat.

Anyone with information about the animal (pictured above) or its owner is asked to call the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722.
