LI Woman Arrested for DWI, Twin Girls Found in Car

SCPD

A 31-year-old Long Island woman was arrested early Sunday morning and accused of driving while intoxicated with her twin daughters in the car, according to police.

Police said they found Danielle Ferrante sitting in a parked car in a Shop Rite parking lot in Hauppauge at around 1:30 a.m. After interviewing Ferrante, police determined she was intoxicated.

The woman had her 5-year-old daughters in the car, police said.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. The children were released to the custody of their father.

Ferrante is scheduled to be arraigned Sunday in Central Islip. Attorney information was not immediately available.
