Firefighters responded Friday to a fire at Columbia University.

The fire broke out around 4:30 p.m. on the third floor of a building at 50 West 120th St.

FDNY says a welder's torch may have ignited insulation.

The building is said to be a science facility.

    No injuries were reported.
