Bomb Threat Forces Brooklyn School Evacuation: DOE

A Brooklyn middle school was evacuated because of a bomb threat Wednesday morning, according to the Department of Education.

The agency says the Van Siclen Avenue campus where the J.H.S. 166 George Gershwin is located received the threat and the NYPD told school officials to evacuate the building.

Students were relocated to neighboring schools while authorities searched the building. The school serves children in sixth through eighth grades.

The investigation is ongoing.
