Residents in Bellerose, Queens may be experiencing a water outage as crews respond to a water main break.

The break was detected on 249th Street and Shiloh Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. and has started seeping into home basements, according to an official on the scene.

At least three homes have a foot of water or more in the basements; five homes have a few inches of water.

The FDNY is on the scene, helping residents pump water out.

Most of the street had no running water Tuesday night.
