Brooklyn Man Arrested in Beer Run Gas Station Robbery

A 32-year-old Brooklyn man has been arrested for allegedly running off with fistfuls of cash after jumping a gas station convenience store counter and roughing up the clerk during a beer run last week.

Police say Evan Sheedy was charged with third-degree robbery early Tuesday in connection with the Nov. 6 robbery at the BP Gas Station on Flushing Avenue.

Authorities say Sheedy allegedly walked into the store around 10:30 p.m., pulled a six-pack of beer out of the refrigerator and approached the front counter. Surveillance video from inside the store shows a man believed to be Sheedy then jump over the counter and force the clerk to open the cash register.

It's not clear how much money was stolen.

It wasn't known if Sheedy had an attorney.
