A Long Island man didn't take too kindly to late-night noise, so he attacked another man with a metallic broomstick, police say.
Lemuel Stephens, 60, allegedly confronted a 42-year-old man about noise on Newport Road in Uniondale at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Stephens then hit the victim with a metal broomstick, Nassau County police said. The victim suffered a cut to his left eye and was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.
Stephens was arrested and charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and driving without a license.
Stephens had an open warrant for an unrelated traffic violation, authorities said. It wasn't clear whether Stephens had an attorney.
