A Harlem man was fatally shot outside a club in the shadows of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine early Sunday, police said.
Bleeding from a gunshot blast to his torso, the victim got a friend to drive him about a mile to Harlem Hospital Center, even though Saint Luke's Roosevelt Hospital was just blocks away, police said.
Floyd Miller, 25, was shot outside the NoCo Bar & Lounge on the corner of Columbus Avenue and 109th Street in northern stretch of Manhattan Valley, about a block from the massive St. John's Cathedral.
He staggered into the emergency room on Lenox Avenue and 135th Street about 3:30 a.m., and was pronounced dead there a short time later, officials said.
It's unclear what prompted the slaying, a police source said. Miller, who lived on West 129th Street, had a criminal record, including an arrest for robbery, the source said.
