Blake Shelton Delays Tour After Father's Death

The singer and "Voice" star is pushing back dates to March.

Blake Shelton has announced plans to delay his tour following the death of his father, Dick.

The elder Shelton passed away Wednesday, according to a representative for the country singer.

"Mr. Shelton, who was in declining health this past year, was surrounded by loved ones in Oklahoma upon his passing this evening," the rep told Us Weekly.

Shelton was in the midst of his "Well Lit & Amplified" Tour," with dates pending in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana next week. Those dates will be reschedule for March. Further information will be available through the "Voice" coach's official web site.

"I appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and thank you for all your prayers, "said Shelton in a statement. "Your support means the world to me. I love you guys."
