Mourning “Iran's Most Famous Indie Group:” Fans React to Murder-Suicide Involving The Yellow Dogs

Fans of The Yellow Dogs, which lost at least three members in a triple murder-suicide early Monday, have turned to social media to express grief and share their memories.

Two members of The Yellow Dogs, a self-described "Post Punk/Dance Punk band" from Iran, and another musician were fatally shot by a man who then killed himself in Brooklyn early Monday morning, according to police.

The band, which was based in Brooklyn at the time of the shooting, gained fame after they were featured as "fixtures in Tehran's underground rock scene"  in the documentary "No One Knows About Persian Cats," according to the Huffington Post.
