“Boardwalk Empire” actress Paz de la Huerta is facing more legal problems following an accusation that she attacked someone at Manhattan bar.
Samantha Swetra filed a lawsuit yesterday against the actress, saying that on March 20 she was "maliciously assaulted, beaten and battered," The Associated Press reported.
According to authorities, De la Huerta punched Swetra in the face and threw a glass that resulted in cuts on Swetra’s leg at the Standard Hotel.
De la Huerta was arraigned this past Tuesday for assault and additional charges stemming from the incident.
The actress reportedly told the police that she was “a real actress” and that Swetra was a “publicity seeker.”
A lawyer for De la Huerta said that his client would explain herself in court. “Paz thanks all her friends and fans for their continued support of her," he said.
