Eva Longoria Files for Divorce from Tony Parker

"Desperate Housewives" Star dumping basketballer hubby

One of Hollywood's most glamorous couples, Eva Longoria and basketball star Tony Parker, are headed for the rocks.

Longoria, star of "Desperate Housewives,"  filed for divorce Wednesday from Parker, point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, according to People magazine. The documents were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, one day after a rep for the actress called a report that Parker filed divorce docs in Texas "100 percent false."

"It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce," Longoria tweeted. "We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."

In the Wednesday filing, Longoria, who had taken Parker's name, requested that her name be restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria. The filing also stated that the couple had a prenuptial agreement, according to The Associated Press.

Longoria, 35, and Parker, 27, were engaged in November 2006, then got married on July 7, 2007, at Chateau of Vaux le Vicomte, a 17th Century castle on the outskirts of Paris. Throughout there marriage, rumors have circulated that Parker had cheated on his wife.

The actress showered her husband with gifts for his 28th birthday in May, and they celebrated their third anniversary with an Adriatic cruise and vacation with friends.
