Stella McCartney Forays Into Menswear (Well, Unisex)

Just last week Stella McCartney announced the launch of a children's line, and now we have news that the designer is adding menswear to her repertoire. As part of a less sport-specific (yoga, dancing, running, etc) lifestyle lineup for Adidas, McCartney is releasing three ranges intended for both men and women for spring 2011.

"This is the first lifestyle-inspired collection and apart from bespoke tailoring, it's the first time I've ever done anything for men," McCartney told Vogue UK. "It's interesting to be able to work on both men's and women's looks in a more casual sporting arena, and to have a kind of easiness to them that appeals to people but still has a sort of edge," she added.

Though many of the line's wares are meant to be unisex—hooded sweatshirts, T-shirts and track pants, for example—it also includes several womenswear-specific items like oversized gold capes, and studded white tank tops.
