As a former consultant for top-notch fashion companies like Yigal Azrouel and Tibi, Jennifer Collins knew exactly what she had in mind when it came time to launch her new e-commerce shop, PinkClouds, an online vintage store stocked with cool vintage one-of-a-kind finds.
"I felt there was a void in the market for a well-edited and fashion savvy e-commerce vintage store and platform," explains Collins, who is herself an avid vintage shopper. "My first goal was to build a beautiful site that was well-curated and easy to navigate. My second goal was to build a platform where vintage lovers can come to get inspiration, information, and shop all at the same time."
Each piece in the shop is hand-picked by Collins and her team, who work with appraisers and vendors all over the world. PinkClouds is all about an edited selection and a curated shopping experience," says Collins. "We take great pride in the quality we offer by restoring and professionally cleaning each piece."
Right now, Collins is coveting a tan-striped Bill Blass fur jacket—"the perfect piece to take you from fall to winter," she says. After clicking through the site, we found ourselves lusting for an orange suede maxi skirt and camel palazzo jumpsuit, both of which were featured in the site's "Hamptons" shop.
"Each piece in our archive steals a little bit of my heart when it's sold," admits Collins. "As much as I love finding a home for these works of art, I wish I could keep and wear them all!"
