Today, NYC mayor Bloomberg led an invite-only press conference to outline details of September 10th's Fashion's Night Out.
Donna Karen, Anna Wintour, Carolina Hererra, Mary-Kate Olsen, Tommy Hilfiger, Derek Lam, Tracy Reese, and others backed Bloomberg, Saks CEO Steve Sadove, and designer Marc Jacobs at the podium during the twenty-minute, pose-heavy session.
The mayor confirmed that the number of participating stores has increased from 800 in 2009 to 1,000-plus this year. (FNO has yet to release a comprehensive list, but individual announcements—Catherine Malandrino, Hamish Bowles, Trish McEvoy, and Manilla-based style blogger BryanBoy co-judging a makeup artist search at Bergdorf Goodman, for instance—continue to go public.
