She's already a millionaire supermodel and a super hero on a save-the-planet cartoon show, but as of today Gisele Bundchen can also add another notch to her fashionable belt: U.N. Ambassador.
Following in the steps of celebrities as varied as Angelina Jolie and Shirley Temple, the supermodel was awarded the title of Goodwill Ambassador last night. Gisele has long been an activist for environmental issues, including her own Agua Limpia (Clean Water) project, which makes efforts to revive the vegetation in the micro basins of certain areas of Brazil where the supermodel was born.
As such, the U.N. claims that the supermodel will “raise awareness and inspire action to protect the environment." That, and promote sheer hotness throughout the globe, we're sure.
