The official schedule was just posted for New York fashion week, and as predicted, the big guns are supporting the tents as the fulcrum of the week, with a special nod to Fashion's Night Out on opening day.
BCBG, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Rebecca Taylor, Narciso Rodriguez, Caroline Herrera, Badgley Mischka, Phillip Lim, Anna Sui, and Tommy Hilfiger will all be showing within the tents this coming September. Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Jill Stuart, and Calvin Klein are all participating in the Mercedes-Benz revelry, while choosing to show off-site. The most interesting addition to the lineup might actually be Christian Siriano, who'll show on Saturday.
Overall, the rather ho-hum-ness of the announcement (and the schedule) reflects the missing pieces -- i.e. the serious talent choosing to show downtown at Milk Studios this year -- Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, and others.
Also of note: The four-hour gap allotted to "Fashion's Night Out" on the opening day of fashion week, September 10. Clearly, no one would dare interrupt Anna Wintour's big shopping event.
