MpFree Wednesday: Wild Beasts, “Albatross”

Who: English dream-pop outfit Wild Beasts, featuring Hayden Thorpe, he of the gorgeously affecting, borderline-womanly falsetto.

The band is set to release their third album, Smother, May 10th on Domino Records, and are giving away the mp3 to the track “Albatross”—which sees the Beasts delving into more electronic sounds, and Thorpe has described as “empowered and emboldened”--today only.

Wild Beasts are hopping around Europe in April and May; U.S. tour plans TBD.
