It's safe to say that Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio is not a Yankees fan. He's been heading up a Congressional probe of taxpayer funding of arenas and says the city provided a "possibly inaccurate tax assessment" so it could get hundreds of millions in tax-exempt bonds. This would mean it (brace yourself, friends) lied to the IRS in the finest American fashion. Investigators say that $500 million in construction costs may have been "improperly included" in the report to the IRS for the bonds. [NYDN]
