Four people, including boys ages 2 and 4, were found dead Sunday morning inside a home in Marrero, Louisiana, authorities said.
The bodies were discovered about 11 a.m. (noon ET) when an 18-year-old woman returned home from a hunting trip, Jefferson Parish sheriff's Col. John Fortunato said Sunday afternoon.
All of the victims had stab wounds, Fortunato said. They were identified as David Mata, 46; Kelli Mata, 40; Caden Mata, 4; and Liam Mata, 2.
The woman who found them wasn't immediately identified, and sheriff's officials wouldn't provide any further details early Sunday night.
