White House Fence Jumper Not Allowed Back at College

The attorney for the Stamford man charged after he leapt over the White House fence with a rewritten national constitution in hand said his client has been refused re-entry to the University of Bridgeport.

Defense attorney Stephan Seeger told The Stamford Advocate that 22-year-old Joseph Caputo was informed on Tuesday that he wasn't welcome back at the school because the administrators believe he committed a community standards violation.

Spokeswoman Leslie Geary said she can't confirm Caputo's suspension due to confidentiality laws.

Caputo pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful entry onto restricted grounds.

He returned to Stamford on Monday after he released from federal custody. A psychiatric evaluation ordered by a federal judge on Friday has not yet been completed.

Caputo was studying criminal justice and martial arts at the school.
