Some of the tri-state is dealing with scattered power outages, devastating home damage and localized flooding after a violent line of storms moved through Monday afternoon.

Utility companies in New Jersey were reporting a total of 10,000 customers without power at one point Monday evening.
In Cresskill, N.J., strong wind gusts snapped a 60-foot tree, knocking it over onto a home and through the roof of a home where neighbors say an 85-year-old woman lives.
"She said she was taking a nap, and it woke her up," a neighbor told NBC 4 New York. "She felt lucky because nothing hit her. She just got hit in the leg, and that's it."
Winds also knocked down power lines on Soldier Hill Road in nearby Emerson, N.J., causing them to spark on the ground. Utility crews closed off the road as they worked on the lines.
On Colonial Road, a tree toppled onto a nearby bungalow, crashing through the ceiling. The homeowner was in disbelief that his 2-year-old grandson, who was sleeping right underneath where the tree snapped onto the home, was unhurt.
"There was no warning. The upstairs is gone, and so is the back. It's pretty wild," said Fred Sfarra. "It was meant for him to be OK."
The National Weather Service was also investigating a report of funnel cloud sighting in Passaic, N.J., near the intersection of Trenton and Michigan avenues.
