A van slammed into a building in Chinatown Friday after an eating driver started choking on his food.
A driver choked on his food and lost consciousness Friday evening, sending his van slamming into a Manhattan building, police say.
The man was driving in Chinatown on Broadway near Catherine Lane at about 5 p.m. Friday when his chewing turned to choking.
As he began to lose consciousness, the van jumped the curb and shot into a nearby building.
The crash left some damage to the building, but no injuries were reported, police said.
