Three Baby Lemurs to Make Public Debut at Bronx Zoo

The Bronx Zoo will debut three adorable additions to a Madagascar themed exhibit Thursday.

Two ring-tailed lemurs and one brown collared lemur will make their public debut at the zoo on Thursday.

The critters were born in late March and will join red ruffed lemurs, gray mouse lemurs and crowned lemurs in the exhibit, a spokesperson for the Bronx Zoo said in a statement.

But animal gazers who visit the zoo will have to look closely if they want to catch a glimpse of new baby lemurs, as the animals tend to cling closely to their mothers.

The Bronx Zoo is open daily this spring and summer from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends.

Admission is $19.95 for adults and $12.95 for children up to the age of 12. Kids under the age of three can enter free of charge.
