Three New York City men have been arrested in an Orange County home invasion, accused of holding up a man at gunpoint before taking off with jewelry and cash, police say.
Clarkstown police said the 49-year-old victim encountered the robbers when he went into his garage to get something Wednesday night. Two men were pointing guns at him, and demanded valuables.
He complied, and the robbers ran to a waiting vehicle, police said. No residents were hurt in the robbery.
Police stopped the men in the car on the New York Thruway and took them into custody without incident, authorities said. A search near the car turned up a loaded 9-mm gun and a loaded 40-caliber pistol.
The suspects, a 30-year-old Bronx man, a 33-year-old Bronx man and a 26-year-old Brooklyn man, were charged with felony counts of robbery, burglary and criminal possession of a stolen property.
They were expected to be arraigned later Thursday.
