Twins Accused of Credit Card Forgery, Attempted Cop Bribery

Police say they pulled over 20-year-old Jael Sanchez Sunday morning and found him with 21 gift cards worth $24,000 as well as 14 forged credit cards

A man is accused of trying to bribe officers after being arrested in Brooklyn for allegedly having tens of thousands in gift cards and forged credit cards, and his twin was subsequently arrested for also allegedly trying to bribe cops, police say.

Police say they pulled over 20-year-old Jael Sanchez Sunday morning and found him with 21 gift cards worth $24,000 as well as 14 forged credit cards (pictured above). During booking, officers say Sanchez offered them $10,000 to release him.

After officers refused the bribe, Sanchez's twin, Jan Sanchez, allegedly showed up at the precinct with $4,000 in a plastic bag and also tried to bribe police into releasing his brother. He was also arrested and charged with bribery.

Information on lawyers for the twins was not immediately available.
