A steam pipe leak sent plumes of vapor stories high Sunday evening in the Upper West Side, according to the NYPD.

Police say no injuries were reported when the pipe on Central Park West and 82nd Street busted. They initially said the line exploded but Con Edison says it was a leak and it has been shut off.

A Twitter video posted by officials at the 20th Precinct showed the hot steam shooting up several stories high in the air.

Con Edison said 25 customers were affected but there were no estimates on when the pipe will be fixed.

Traffic was not affected, according to police.
