Spring Greeted By Snow Flurries

The beginning of spring was marked by one last round of snow flurries in New York City this morning.

Spring became official at 7:44 a.m., but you wouldn't have known it by looking outside. There were snow showers in New York City and all across the surrounding region for several hours. The snow stopped falling in the city shortly before 9 a.m.

The snow stuck on some roofs and lawns in Westchester County and Connecticut.

Temperatures in the low 30s brought on the flurries, but eventually it warmed up enough to chase the snow away.

There were no problems reported on the roadways related to the snow showers.
Sunny spring weather with temperatures in the low 50s is expected on Saturday. It'll be party cloudy with a high of 56 degrees on Sunday.
