Police Say Woman Falsely Accused Co-Worker of Sex Abuse

Police say a United Cerebral Palsy employee falsely reported that her co-worker, whom she previously dated, had sexually abused a resident at a home for the vulnerable on Long Island.

Fifth-three-year-old Judy Campbell, of Amityville, was arrested Wednesday on charges of falsely reporting an incident. Information on her lawyer wasn't immediately available.

Police say the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People With Special Needs received an anonymous call claiming that a male employee at the United Cerebral Palsy home in Commack inappropriately touched a female resident.

Police investigated the alleged incident and found that no abuse occurred.

Police say Campbell admitted that she lied about the allegation.
