Smoky Situation in Manhattan Subway Station Amid Track Fire; Changes to 1, 2, 3 Line Service

A track fire filled a subway station with smoke and led to service changes for 1, 2, 3 trains on Tuesday evening.

Video from the scene shows firefighters at the 18th Street subway station on Seventh Avenue. Smoke lingers in the air over the Bronx-bound platform.

It wasn't immediately known what sparked the fire. No injuries were reported.

The MTA said riders on the 1, 2 and 3 lines should expect delays.

Northbound 1 trains are running express from Chambers Street to 34th Street-Penn Station, and some northbound 2 trains are running on the 5 line from Nevins Street to 149th Street-Grand Concourse.
