A New Jersey Transit train crashed into a New Jersey Transit bus in Garfield Monday evening, forcing service on the Bergen County train line to be suspended as authorities responded.
NJ Transit says the train, carrying about 100 people, crashed into the bus near Midland Avenue and Presidents Street. The bus was carrying about 15 commuters.
One person on the bus was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Service resumed on the Bergen County line by 6:30 p.m. with hourlong delays.
