Motorcyclist Bounces off Crash Pad, Hits SUV and Dies on Williamsburg Bridge: Cops

A motorcyclist riding on the Williamsburg Bridge died after he bounced off the crash cushion and smacked into a car, police say.

The man was on the Brooklyn bound side of the bridge when he struck the crash cushion on the bridge, bounced off it and then hit an SUV, according to police.

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His name has not been released by police.

The driver of the SUV remained on scene and was not injured, police said. No criminality is suspected in the crash, according to officials.

The NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
