Memorial Day Weekend Starts Out Dry, But Rain Is Looming

Waking up to dry, clear skies on Saturday is a great start to the Memorial Day weekend, but rain is on the way.

StormTeam 4 detects a small area of low pressure later in the day, with rain is inching closer toward New Jersey. There is a chance of a scattered drizzle popping up throughout the tri-state area this evening.

You will want to wear some sunblock, with a UV index of 8 today.

It was 66 degrees Saturday morning in Central Park and it was expected warm up to the 70s, with cooler temperatures up north. The winds were gentle, coming from the north and northwest.

Sunday is forecast to be a similar day, with slightly cooler temperatures, until tomorrow evening when the clouds really start coming in.

Monday is a different story, with a bigger chance of more severe storms.

Check back with StormTeam 4 through the weekend as we give you updated information on timing the of this weekend's rain.
