A man died after he was found unresponsive on a Queens street early Sunday with what police called a "puncture wound" to his forehead.
Harnam Thakoor, 52, of Queens, was pronounced dead at Queens Hospital Center, the NYPD said.
Thakoor was found near 115th Avenue and 165th Street in St. Albans at about 5:30 a.m., police said.
Police said gunshots were reported in the area, but said no gun was found nearby. It's not clear whey they described Thakoor's injuries as a puncture wound and not a bullet wound.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
