Gearthitecture (girth-ih-tek-chur) doesn't roll off the tongue like narchitecture, but it's the best word I could come up with for Google Earth Architecture. Definition: gearthitecture is the study of distorted designs that emerge when individual Google Earth photos—taken at different angles by various satellites—are patched together for display.
While making a Google Earth flight across Manhattan along 42nd Street, I noticed more than the usual number of distortions. The gallery above includes four of the best, with approximate locations. (Note: I have not yet inspected the rooftops for rich people.) —Restless
