A driver died in a fiery crash on the Cross Island Parkway early Wednesday morning, police say.
The man was the only one in the car when it crashed on the southbound side of the highway in Queens, near Northern Boulevard, according to police.
It's not clear what caused the crash.
Multiple police vehicles were on the scene investigating; traffic was squeezing by on two lanes.
