NYPD officers on Wednesday confiscated an Uzi machine gun, a hand gun, hundreds of bullets and a large quantity of marijuana at an apartment in a Brooklyn public housing complex, police said.
NYPD Sergeants Florencio Arquer and David Cheesewright served a warrant with Detective Lawrence Hotaling and police officers Thaddeus Grandstaff and Andrew Kamna at the Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene at about 8 a.m., police said.
The officers discovered the Uzi, a .380 caliber Hi-Point pistol, about 200 rounds of ammunition and more than five ounces of marijuana, authorities said.
The officers arrested three residents of the apartment, a 59-year-old man, a 33-year-old man and a 21-year-old man. It was not immediately clear if the men are related.
Each of the suspects were charged with multiple crimes, including criminal possession of a machine gun.
