Police are searching for a robber in a bandana and shorts who targeted two businesses in Brooklyn last week.
The robber first went to a store at 68-24 Fourth Ave. in Sunset Park at about 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, wearing a bandana and demanding money while showing a gun, police said. He was able to get away with cash.
Later that night, at about 9:20 p.m., he went to 118 Kane St. in Cobble Hill and again demanded money while showing a gun, police said. Surveillance video shows the person behind the counter apparently fighting back, threatening the robber with a chair or ladder. The robber fled without any cash.
The robber is described as about 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 200 to 220 pounds with black hair. He was wearing black shorts, black sunglasses and a black bandana in both incidents.
