The NYPD has arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the death of a baby earlier this year.
Police said Tuesday that the Jan. 25 death has been reclassified a homicide.
They Jhalil Williams, of Queens, was taken into custody on Monday and charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
The 4-month-old infant, Javion Durett, of Queens, was found unconscious and unresponsive after police responded to the child's home following a 911 call. The baby was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police had earlier identified the child as Javion Williams.
They say the suspect was the boyfriend of the baby's mother.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
