    Someone Dyed the Lincoln Center Fountain Yellow

    Lincoln Center is investigating after someone dyed a fountain there yellow on Saturday.

    Police are searching for the prankster who threw yellow dye into the fountain at Lincoln Center. 

    Photos posted on social media Saturday show lemon-yellow water gushing from the Revson Fountain, which sits in front of the Metropolitan Opera. 

    The fountain was turned off after suddenly changing color in the afternoon.

    Lincoln Center spokesperson Mary Caraccioli said the fountain was being cleaned Saturday evening; the cleaning is expected to wrap up by Sunday. 

    Security notified the NYPD, which is looking for the prankster, Caraccioli said. 

    The fountain is a popular tourist attraction that has been featured in movies including "Moonstruck" and "Ghostbusters."
