Authorities are searching for a woman who allegedly sexually assaulted an 81-year-old woman at an affordable housing residence for seniors in the Bronx.
According to police, the suspect knocked on the victim's door at the Rose Hill Apartments in Belmont Friday night and stated she was from a hospital. The victim allowed the suspect in, thinking she was there to care for her husband, police said.
The woman then allegedly groped the victim before fleeing.
Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect (see above) and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
