Responding to a report of an assault Saturday morning on Staten Island, police found the body of a women whose neck had been slashed.
The victim was identified later in the day as 43-year-old Iwona Pawliszun, police said.
Police are investigating her death as part of a murder-suicide in connection with a body of a man found in Poughkeepsie, police sources said.
No other details were available.
