Springsteen Fans Get 2nd Chance at Tix

Bruce Springsteen fans who complained about how Ticketmaster handled the online sale for concerts in New Jersey are getting a second chance for seats.

Under a settlement with Ticketmaster, a random drawing will be held for 1,861 people on March 31 to purchase tickets for either the May 21 or May 23 show at the Izod Center.

The state says 1,000 people will get seats from the drawings for the two shows.

Those who aren't chosen will receive a $100 Ticketmaster gift certificate and be given the opportunity to purchase two tickets to a future Springsteen concert in the Garden State.

Ticketmaster's Web site had directed buyers to a subsidiary that charged up to 50 times the face value. Under the settlement, Ticketmaster agreed to change its online sales process.
