A second man has been arrested in the avocado- and banana-hurling assault that left a deli clerk with a broken jaw on Memorial Day.

Jestyfer Henriquez, 25, from the Bronx, was charged with assault Friday, police said. Henriquez and Brad Gomez, who was arrested Thursday, allegedly threw avocados and bananas at Amr Alzabidi, the clerk at Stadium Gourmet Deli at East 161st Street following a dispute about their food order.

Alzabidi tried to kick them out of the store when they made a scene about their food order, police said. Alzabidi told News 4 New York that his recovery would be a long one and that he was afraid to return to the deli.

Surveillance video released by police earlier this week showed Gomez casually grabbing several avocados before getting into a pitching position and throwing them at Alzabidi and other employees. Henriquez is seen joining in, throwing avocados and bananas.
