Long Island Pharmacy Owner Attacked After Telling Employee Business Was Closing: Police

A Long Island pharmacy owner was attacked after he told an employee that the business would be closing, authorities say.

Leo Amoruso was attacked this week after he told employee Harry Dieudonne that the Elmont business, Dutch Broadway Pharmacy, was closing down after 60 years in business.

Authorities say that after learning about the closing, Dieudonne allegedly threw his boss to to the ground and choked him.

Amoruso was taken to the hospital after the attack but was later released. He refused to comment on the attack to NBC 4 New York.

Dieudonne, 27, faces assault charges following the attack. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the case.
